A group of friends, university students back then, start a pirate radio. A lone computer streaming 24/7 on a shoutcast server. Residents take over streaming from their home. More locals and non locals get involved with radio DJs broadcasting from all major Greek cities.
For the next decade, Paranoise will evolve in a reference for forward thinking music in Greece, following closely the underground currents across the world , exposing our audience to then unknown genres like dubstep & footwork. We also have been throwing parties and events in Thessaloniki, Athens and Xanthi.
Following the Greek brain drain, a lot of our residents spread across Europe, adding cities like Copenhagen, Brussels, Manchester, Barcelona and Zurich in our broadcasting locations
Since 2020, we actively started to approach more non-greek DJs and initiatives for a slot in our schedule, with the ambition to evolve in a truly international collective.
