Ben Zo is a DJ and organizer based in Brooklyn, New York. His evocative selections largely encompass heady house and spacey techno, often within expansive mixes that cinematically weave between intensity and levity. He is the organizer of Bush Düf, a Bushwick-based techno party; a resident at Newtown Radio, where he curates the recurring ambient/experimental nights; and a resident at queer bar Happyfun Hideaway. Adept playing to any audience, he has been heard at every time slot at one of the many microclubs that line Myrtle Avenue, whether's close Bossa Nova Civic Club, open Mansions during happy hour, or the midnight crossing at SILO Brooklyn. His guest mixes have been broadcast by stations around the world including 8-Ball Radio, Hi-Note Radio, London's Subtle Radio and a three-hour mix for Manila Community Radio. This new mix for Paranoise Radio filters his psychedelic palette through a house framework, weaving echoing grooves drenched in psychedelic reverb with head-turning vocal samples and acid bassline. Tune in tonight Saturday 9th of November at 9pm for Ben Zo's exclusive mix for Paranoise.
