Mister Teaser - a DJ, promoter, and iconic figure of the Portuguese electronic scene - is the perfect definition of the DIY spirit. With over 20 years of experience, Luís has graced countless dance floors and iconic DJ booths.
Influenced by the Punk movement in Porto in the early 1980s, the city where he lives, he developed a strong connection with the music community and local nightspots.
Later, motivated by the explosion of Electroclash and the Manchester electronic scene, he began a foray into DJing that led him to perform at festivals such as Off Sónar (Barcelona), Primavera Sound (Porto), Vodafone Paredes de Coura, Jardim Sagres Fest (Ponta Delgada), Art Nature Fest, Festival Ínsua do Vez, Festival Oito24, Waves Vienna, Tremor Festival (Azores) and Bons Sons. Sharing the decks with his references and inspirations has been a constant, including names such as Erol Alkan, Ewan Pearson, San Proper, Severino [HMD], Munk, Anoraak, Mike Simonetti, Massimiliano Pagliara, Tiago, Bawrut, Begun, SPFDJ, Session Victim, Gesaffelstein, DJEdjotronic e Al Doyle [LCD Soundsystem].
His international career has included numerous visits to cities such as Boston, New York City, Brooklyn, Madrid, London, Berlin, Vienna, Istanbul, Prague, Warsaw, Athens, among others.Currently, you can listen to his curated radio shows on Yé Yé e Alínea A.
